It’s one thing to put the work into SEO for your site, but it’s another thing to be able to thoroughly and effectively monitor the SEO for your site in real time. Investing in a quality analysis tool can mean the difference between success and failure when it comes to your SEO goals.

But, with so many different products on the market, it can be difficult to evaluate all of the options. Fear not, because today we’re going to cover the best of 2018 for SEO website analysis tools.

Ahrefs – Complete Website Analysis

Unsurprisingly, Ahrefs tops my list of SEO tools for this year. There are aspects of Ahrefs which just can’t be beaten. For research and analysis, Ahrefs is an industry-leading tool.

While Ahrefs is most well known as a keyword and rank tracker, there are several other useful features available. In particular, the content research tool is a great way to maximize your blogging efforts.

One thing that sets Ahrefs apart is the quality of their data. Much like a search engine, Ahrefs crawls the web 24 hours a day to mine the real time data you need to effectively manage your SEO efforts.

With plans starting at $99 a month (with annual discounts available) Ahrefs is easy to incorporate into most budgets. Or, if you’re flying by the seat of your pants, you can access a number of their popular tools for free.

SEMRush

Another one of the most useful SEO tools for 2018 is SEM Rush. If you’re looking to dial into what’s driving success for your competitors or industry leaders, this program is a must-have. Like Ahrefs, paid plans start at $99 per month, and there is also a free version of the software available.

SEMRush is a full-featured application, useful for everything from backlink and keyword analysis to site audits and even social media. If you can only find room in your budget for one SEO tools in 2018, you may want to consider SEM Rush.

Authority Labs

Authority Labs is a SERP tracker that allows you to track ranks by country and city. It can be a helpful tool for monitoring your own site’s rank, and for doing competitor research as well. Having complete control on how your keywords are doing in google search is huge advantage. You definitely want to know what’s happening with those on 1st page and how are others progressing on lower pages. It goes along with your SEO strategy because you want to know exactly what steps affects your rankings the most.

As a competitor research tool, it can be particularly helpful since it will provide you with the information you need to outrank your top competitors. This application features robust reporting by week or month and also has some additional tracking tools for mobile devices as well.

SEOCrawler

SEOcrawler took everything you typically use for SEO and put it into one tool. It’s designed to be an All-in-one SEO suite instead of using a whole shed of tools. SEOcrawler can take the guesswork out of the technical side of your website and landing pages. You can monitor changes in your rankings, paid ads, broken links and research your competition all in one place.

Browseo

Browseo is a tool that allows you to see a website how a search engine would see it. It strips out everything that isn’t readable by crawlers, enabling you to check what is and isn’t going to be indexed. This can be useful for when you’re purposefully trying to hide things from the search engines, or when you want to ensure that individual sections are being indexed.

Browseo is free for a single domain, but if you need to track multiple sites, there are paid plans starting at $40 a month.

Free isn’t always useful. In the case of Upcity, it is. There SEO report card will give you a thorough local analysis, and it’s very simple. All you’ll need to do is submit your website and it begins to analyze.

Upcity’s report card looks at everything on your page then gives you a score on a scale from 1 – 100 in comparison to your competitor’s website.

Once you tell it what your chosen keyword for the page is, it will:

SERPWoo

If you don’t have SERPWoo, you should stop what you’re doing and get it right now. Without any doubt SERPWoo is the most innovative rank tracker in the SEO game.

Instead of just displaying a list of keywords, they also scrape the websites that rank for your seed keyword and show your more phrases that those businesses already rank for.

This allows you to find queries that most other tools would never show you, opening you up to more traffic and therefore more revenue.

SERPWoo plans start at $49.95 a month for 750 keywords on unlimited domains.

Your website should load in 3 seconds or less, especially on mobile devices. GTMetrix is one of the most complex pagespeed analyzers on the web, and it will show you exactly what is causing your pages to load slowly.

Although I don’t think you’ll need each and every one of these tools, each of them has its own specialty. At some point in your journey you will likely find good use for most of them.

SEO is becoming very competitive these days in almost every single niche and it’s not just about producing quality content anymore. You have to stay a head of the game in 2018 and be prepared to monitor and analyse your website with the most developed SEO tools form this list.
